The Manchester Metros Div I team hit the ice last Friday (9/12) for the long await clash with cross-Pennine rivals, the Sheffield Bears. Normally posting 6 goals (hat-trick from Max Drakeley) will get you a win, but Sheffield was able to equal the total and earn one point in the dismal defense of a 6-6 draw. The draw will sit heavy in the stomachs of the Metros as the team cruises into the Christmas break.
The Metros Div I squad will not be in action again until February 3rd when Edinburgh Eagles visit Deeside in a Friday nightcap. The first leg ended as a 1-1 stalemate and the Metros hope to earn full points and get back on track.
