Manchester United squared off against Romanian side Otelul Gatali on Match Day 4 of the Group stages for the UEFA Champions League. I was very excited as it would be my first European football match. I had been to Old Trafford for the stadium tour, but I knew an empty stadium compared to a full one would be MUCH different.
Outside Old Trafford the atmosphere was ECSTATIC. There were many burger & chip stands lined up on Victoria Avenue and directly outside the stadium, tons of vendors were selling their United merchandise -- everything from scarves, to hats, to t-shirts, to flags, and even to sombreros! ("Getch your sombreros so you can be on the tele!" -One of the vendors)
The atmosphere inside the grounds was fantastic, which is expected for any United match, Champions League, Premier League, ect -- although the yelling children, enthusiastic, made me feel like I was seat amongst 500 Justin Biebers!
